Fun with great friends!

With the craziness of the busy holiday season we had to reschedule our monthly get together a couple times. So we were all excited to finally get together, exchange the gifts and have a great evening. This time it was our turn to go to their home. When we got there the children Maci and Cody greeted us very excited. Maci yelled to her mom in the other room "can I tell them what we got for Christmas?" Lori said yes. So Maci said "you know last year we got a trip to DisneyWorld? Well this year we're getting a baby!". Needless to say we are so very excited and happy for them. Then Lori came out to reveal her baby belly....
End of May early June..... I can't wait!!! The baby will be born close to Hayley's birthday. :-)
Lots of hugs were going around and I was trying hard not to cry!

Congratulations Ken and Lori!!! A new little blessing is so lucky to be arriving in this family. They are amazing parents with a lot of love to give. Lori is a wonderful stay at home Mom who always plans exciting things for the kids. This baby is going to be in very good hands. We can't wait to spoil them! They are not going to find out the sex, it will be a surprise. :-)

Hayley and Maci met in Daisy scouts when they were just 5 years old. Ever since then we have gotten together each month and become great friends. It has been such a joy watching the children grow up together, and now we get to do it again!

Kathleen was very excited to get her birthday gift as she loves to dance!

Kathleen and Hayley both enjoyed the Christmas presents as well! Games and Squinkies!

It is always a warm and welcoming environment when we visit. We are always made to feel at home. Lori always makes the most delicious meals and has activities for the kids to enjoy. This time she let them make their own pizzas!
There is always a lot of laughter and smiles...

Anticipation....

There is also fun crafts.....

Thank you guys for such a wonderful evening! We are so happy for you guys and can't wait to meet the newest addition to the family!!! :-) Then we can update this picture to 5 amazing children!!

Can't wait for you guys to come here next for more fun times!

Since Owen is still recovering from his surgery and has anxiety issues we put him in the girls bathroom since it is fairly large while we were gone. We put a gate up to keep him from scratching the door. When we came home we found this:

He chewed through the gate and somehow squeezed through it with his e collar still on!

Still managed to get to the door frame! Poor little guy...

Kathleen was wound up and was getting her PJ's out of her drawer, so she yelled "MOM!" and I walked in to see this......

And she was quite pleased with herself....LOL

Gotta love these moments :-)

Before we left to go there the girls were playing the Wii with Jerry. Just had to share this photo of Hayley's hair, lol

She was not too amused that I took it though.

Kathleen was decked out in her Ravens gear (too bad they lost...)

We also stopped to get gas on the way over and I was glad I had my camera for this memory. Ever since the girls were little Jerry has always drawn on their window when he gets gas. This is still a highlight for Kathleen.

It's the little moments like this we cherish... These pictures of our lives that we can freeze and capture these memories and reflect...

A dog who helps teach us Determination, Patience, and Love....

A Dad so amazing he will do anything to make his girls smile no matter how silly he may look in the process...Being a great sport and letting me post these moments to have forever....
A silly hate he received as a gift, and yet still had to add his ball cap on top....

I hope you all take the time today to treasure these moments in your families, and  to count your blessings.

Have a great day!

Blessings,
Jill

That's funny what your hubby does at the gas pumps! If I'm scraping the windows for each window that I scrape that there's a child behind, I stick my tongue out at them thru the glass...

Dear Jill,

congrats to your friends on the new baby in the works ;) :) :) That's awesome. Babies are real treasures :) :) Okay...all the kids look like they're having a blast!!! Pizza is my favorite comfort food and that's great that little hands can help with that!!!

Your stories just made me laugh and did my heart good today :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :) :)

p.s. My daddy still acts silly to make me smile, too :) :)

Oh that little doggie....sounds like ours. He doesn't like to be left alone and since we have moved a lot in the last year, he would scratch the door jam too. He is a cutie though.

I loved this post. Good friends, kids wound tight, funny dad, and a mom who sees the joy in the every day. Love it.
