Spinach, tomato and cheese tortellini, some yard sale finds, and getting ready for weekend traveling!

I found a yummy recipe in one of my favorite magazines ever....All You. It's in the October issue on page 12 and I took a photo of the recipe because this one is not my own this time :-)

I did however take some pics of the process! This was another great meal for after our workouts at the YMCA. Quick and healthy.....although I didn't realize how hot the red pepper flakes were going to be...I am not a fan of spicy foods so next time I will leave them out, but my husband loved it! ;-)

Sauteing the garlic and red pepper.....

Mushrooms and tomatoes.....

Healthy spinach.....

Cook it all down and yum!!!! :-)

We went to a few yard sales over the weekend and found some great deals!
The first was this tent from Cabela's....I know in a bag it doesn't look like much but it is about a $250.00-$300.00 tent normally, It's dome shaped and you can stand up in it....our cost????
$25.00 So when we put it up I owe you a picture! ;-)

Next we've been wanting to get a digital thermostat put in because ours is a dinosaur and isn't efficient for heating/cooling costs.

This is ours now....

So we were super lucky to find this brand new one at a moving sale!!! Marked down to $5.00!!!

We were pretty happy with that find!!

Kathleen found an ironing and washer/dryer set and the lady had $7.00 on it, Kathleen said will you take $4.00 it's all I have left from my allowance and the lady did!! Made Kathleen's day!

Even comes with little clothes hangers and all that hang on the back. She's been pretending to wash and iron all her American Girl clothes.

I found some amazing deals...but I have to post most of them in a few days....you'll see why....in the meantime I found this beautiful set from Germany of fine china. Perfect cup size for Kathleen when we have our tea parties.

Got this set for $7.00!!!

Then Jerry found this hideous...hmmmm I mean delightful fishing lure decoration....needless to say it's going to hang in the garage! LOL

Not quite understanding the deal on that one......

So on to cuter things....Kathleen was having a grand time playing ball in the garage as we prepared the van again for another weekend trip. We are hoping all goes well with Sally traveling. We haven't taken her anywhere since her episodes.

We seriously love this dog....she's a fighter!

Love this picture......She can't wait to visit my mom and dad and roam their 5 acre yard with my dad, and his dogs Sara and Smokey!

Finally....had to add the turtle this time on top....2 kids, 2 adults, 4 dogs and tons of luggage said so! LOL

So I hope you have a super weekend! Going to get my hair cut tomorrow, may go a little shorter this time.
Busy day of errands and then off to dance class, rush home and hitting the road! ;-)

Wow! Awesome deals! I love it when I find things that I need at a garage sale. I haven't gone to a garage sale in three weeks. I am having withdrawls! (giggle) I did go to a thrift store and found some wonderful Children's books.

I hope you enjoy your trip.

It's so fun to garage sale isn't it? I always love sharing my bargains. Hope you have a fun week. I was so glad to see you again Jill. I've been focused on home for a while now and have just now started to be a little more active again.

It's great to see how you and the girls (and hubby) are doing. Love that fish!

Super good deals Jill. I can't believe the deal on that tent, that is great. That lure is so funny. Jerry seems to be really excited about it. LOL. My kids have a laundry set too and they do the same thing. I love it that Kathleen was bargaining, what a cutie pie. Have a great weekend. We so need one of those turtle tops...
