Kathleen's dance recital and a craft

I love this idea for fun with water. We had friends visit and I got the idea from her, she found it on Pinterest! So I had to share, it's easy and lots of fun! The materials needed I found in the Dollar Tree. You will need sponges and ties.

Cut the sponges in strips and wrap ties around the center. (You could also use rubber bands) Super easy!

Make several of these and fill buckets with water and have a sponge battle! Lots of fun and soft enough no injuries!

The girls are enjoying painting and other fun activities, keeping busy each day!

My parents are up visiting to see Kathleen's dance recital and Hayley made a father's day cake for my dad.

This is the first time she baked, frosted and decorated all on her own, including use of the oven. :-)
Usually she assists me, but we wanted her to try all on her own and I think she did an awesome job!

Jerry was loading dishes in the dishwasher so I had to snap a picture of that! LOL

Then the sillies kicked in as they often do with Jerry......

                                                     Always keeps us laughing..... LOL

Kathleen had her dance recital Saturday night and she did an amazing job! I truly think she was born to dance!

They did a tap number to the song ABC

Such a superstar!!! So proud of you Kathleen!! You rocked it! Lots of rehearsals and practices all paid off!

"There's nothing to fear-you're as good as the best
As strong as the mightiest too.
You can win in every battle or test; for there's no one just like you!
There's only one you in the world today; so nobody else you see,
Can do your work in as fine a way; You're the only you there'll be!
                                         So face the world, and all life is yours to conquer and love and live;
And you'll find the happiness that endures in just the measure you give.
There's nothing too good for you to possess, no heights where you
cannot go; your power is more than belief or guess-It's something you
have to know! There's nothing to fear-you can and will, for you're
the invincible you. so set your foot on the highest hill-There's nothing you
                                         can't do!"
