Visiting Tennessee Part 1

We arrived home yesterday afternoon on my birthday :-) I must say with all the southern hospitality we received it was sure hard heading home. May have even picked up an accent again while we were there :-)
The resort we stayed in was nice and the views were great as well.

Nestled in the mountains, yet close to so much!

The girls were enjoying the parrot the resort has in the lounge as we were checking in.

The next morning we headed out to find a place to eat and came across the ever famous Dukes of Hazard car... General Lee so we had to stop in ;-)

This was at the Smith dinner theater and we found out they were serving a character breakfast! Kathleen was super excited! They had an all you can eat buffet from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM and they made pancakes and omelets special for you too.

Along with Cinderella there was Davy Crockett!
Both girls were asked to go up on stage and learn a dance and perform, but only Kathleen would go ;-)

She's going to be our little superstar! ;-)

We went back in the evening to see their new show, Dukes of Hazard. It was really good!

Don't want to give too much away, but the people reenacting the parts were really good! Afterwards the girls got to meet the cast.

Bo and Luke Duke :-)  (Lucky little girl! lol)

Even Sir Elton John made an appearance!

Hayley who loves sunglasses was tickled when he let her wear his!

We enjoyed this show so much we went back the next evening to get a discount rate on the second show! The Smith Show which was really good also!

Our vacation was off to a great start! I'll be sharing memories from it over the next few posts and catching up with you all as well. My girls start school Wednesday so trying to get back on schedule, unpacked, house cleaned, menus prepped etc! Whew....we've been busy! can't wait to share more of our week with you all, it was jam packed!

Looks like you all had a great trip. I love this area, so much so we moved to Sevier county (right outside of Sevierville) a couple years back. A great place to visit and live :) although it looks like in November we will be moving.

I still learn something new everyday here. I had no clue they had character breakfast and the Smith theatre.
