Fear Factor Party!

This past weekend we were invited to a birthday party for Cody and the theme was Fear Factor. Hayley and Maci ( his sister) met in Daisy Scouts when they were 6 years old and Cody and Kathleen were very little. We formed a fast and treasured friendship with the whole family and try to get together for dinners at least once a month.

Lori who is Cody's mom really put a lot of thought and creativity into the party and we all had a great time! This post is full of pictures so sit back, relax and enjoy the kids expressions as they learn what their challenges will be!

We can not forget to introduce little Carly, Maci and Cody's sister who did a great job keeping the kids in order. ;-)

She even managed to work in some exercises in between activities! LOL

Here's the kids before the challenges.... who will be brave enough to participate?

Time to remove their shoes for the first challenge......

The challenge was putting their feet in freezing cold ice water and scooping out bugs, whoever got the most their team won!

Kathleen and Cody are ready to go!
Ken and Lori were able to get in a few laughs at their determination!

Hayley and Maci turned it into a water battle and got soaked!! LOL
Time to put socks and shoes back on for the next challenge!

The next game was not for the faint of heart.... It was to guess what foods Carly had eaten by smelling her diapers!!
This is where they are hearing what the challenge is....
As they guessed they had to write it down.....Kathleen was making sure no one stole her answers ;-)

And Ken....well he was just thrilled to be the one walking them up and down for observation, lol.
As real as these looked and there were a few gagging noises, rest assured the contents were more like chocolate pudding, etc. and not real!!

Next was a dog bone race. They had to pick up the bone off the plate and run and drop it in the containers. Whoever's team had the most won!
Even Jerry got in on the fun....
LOL!!!

Next a big challenge... who will eat the kitty litter???

Kathleen was like oh no!
Lori says...."who's brave enough to try it??"
And the answer was.....
Of course Hayley was all about trying it!
Happy Birthday dear Cody!!!
So after the kids got sugared up.... it was time to dig through the mud bucket and find and collect the fingers!!!

Lori preparing the next challenge....
Carly was like...."whoa....you're going to do what????"
Shaving cream, safety glasses and cheese balls?! Oh my!!
Lori did an awesome job keeping everything organized and so much fun!!
Kathleen just couldn't wait to get her sister with these!

"Is that the best you can do??!"

Next off to eating ants with some cool whip on top!
After that daring to eat dog food!

Notice the numbers were fewer here? ;-)
Then there was the crack and pass the egg race....or was it eyeballs??
Afterwards Lori made all the kids shirts to wear saying they survived Cody's Fear Factor party! We enjoyed getting shots of their after pictures :-)

Thank you for a totally awesome time!!! We had so much fun!!!

                                                                       Blessings,
                                                                           Jill

What a neat party idea. You and Lori should get together and do children's parties. You could make a mint out of it.! Love the expression on the children's faces of the unknown. :-)

I am going to start by saying for anyone reading the comments that we couldn't have done this party without you guys - thanks for helping out as much as you did. Love the photo of Kathleen when she saw the cake - I need that picture. Kathleen was the bravest kids there as far as I was concerned - she was the youngest but participated in every activity even when some of the other girls and boys did not. Thanks for making it such a great day! Love you guys!
