When a best friend comes to visit...

"My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me"  Henry Ford

Kathleen was so very excited when her best friend Hailey came to visit over Memorial day weekend! They became inseparable when we lived back in PA. and when we moved it was hard for both of them. They had the best weekend hanging out together and catching up :-)

"Only those who care about you can hear when you're quiet"  Unknown

We were blessed with gorgeous weather for the weekend and the girls wanted to spend all the time they could outside. Shoes not, they just kept kicking them off and leaving them all over the yard! They did crafts, walked the dogs and played ball with them....

"There are some people in life that make you laugh a little louder, smile a little bigger, and live just a little better"    Unknown

Just about every meal they enjoyed outside. And those smiles? Don't think they could have gotten much bigger!

"A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you"   Elbert Hubbard

"Best friends don't necessarily have to talk every day. They don't even need to talk for weeks. But when they do, it's like they never stopped talking"     Author unknown

There were trips to Dairy Queen, candy, lots of swinging on the swings.....

Even beloved stuffed animals got to hang out while their owners played. :-)

Wouldn't be a visit to see us without going to Cedar Point!

"What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies"  Aristotle

Here we were enjoying some food at Pink's restaurant! Super crowded in there that day.

Jerry is such a gentleman, surrounded by all girls and he offered to carry the backpack full of sunscreen, snacks, extra clothes, etc. Not to mention our refillable cups :-)

Kathleen braved a couple of big rides with her bestie that day!

My mommy's heart had a tough time when Jerry took them on this one!

But of course they had a blast and loved it!!

Little selfie the 3 of them took while waiting in line :-)

This show was fantastic!! The girls really enjoyed watching all the stunts.

Of course you can't visit an Amusement park without Dippin Dots ice cream...

The mine ride roller coaster was another favorite for the girls. Hayley was awesome, she couldn't ride this year so she would stand with the girls until they got on and then come out to wait for them when they were done. :-)

Games were played and conquered to win prizes!

Claw machines are Kathleen's favorite and we won 4 out of 6 times! Not too shabby and made for 2 very happy girls.

The last night of the visit we were playing games and had Smores over the campfire.

Hailey's mom and dad, Joy and Doug came out to enjoy it also. We miss them all so much!!

So glad they were able to come out and spend some time with us! Looking forward to seeing them again!

Your photos are always so bright and cheerful. Is it the camera, or is it the subjects? This is a great post and love all the quotes and beautiful smiles.
Couldn't help but think about the silly song Lucy and Ethel sang:
It's friendship, friendship, just a perfect blendship.
When other friendships are soon forgit, ours will still be it.
Sweet of your daughter Hayley and yes, your husband is a good sport.

OH - this is so sweet!! Those kind of forever friendships mean so much. My best friend lives out in California (we grew up together and we were maids of honor in each others' weddings) and we're still so close my kiddos even refer to her as "Auntie". We have visited her and her family several times out there and she gets back here as often as she's able. We stay in contact through social media, phone and email in between.

Glad you all had a wonderful visit!!
Blessings xoxo
