Santa knows the girls are growing up quickly, so he left a few presents to open and then also gave them gift cards for a special shopping day!
My biggest gifts are these two!
Jerry made Christmas breakfast which has been a tradition for years. Usually my dad is also visiting and does the bacon, but this year it was just the four of us again since we moved.
We had eggs, turkey sausage, beef brisket, potatoes, toast and fruit :-) So delicious and a great start to the day!
Elvis passed out after playing with the mouse filled with cat nip, lol.
And continued to have a goofy grin on his face the rest of the day. ;-) SPOILED!!!!!
Mirabelle enjoyed the mouse with the cat nip too; but had the opposite reaction, she was all hyped up!
Jerry and the girls bought me some beautiful jewelry and some lotions from Bath and Body Works.
The day after Christmas we took Hayley and her 3 friends and Kathleen to the mall to shop and use their gift cards. What a great group of kids, they had a blast and we had a nice day.
The teens went one way and Kathleen hung out with the coolest parents ever, lol. We took her to an indoor arcade in the mall to play some games and she was quite happy all day!
She's a master at the claw machines, it's one of her favorite things to do.
Claire's was having a huge after Christmas sale and she found this adorable hat clip, it looked so cute on her and she only paid $2.00! She had to check out the mirror in the dressing room to see how it looked. :-)
Jerry treated himself to a relaxing foot massage while I walked Kathleen through another store. I was pretty sure he was going to fall asleep there for the night, lol. He deserves it, he works so hard for our family and I'm glad he took some time for himself.
After his refreshing foot rub, he was raring to go again... kiddy car rides and more!
Hmmmm see any similarities here? ;-)
We ended a long day of shopping by taking the kids to Dairy Queen, apparently only silliness at a late hour, lol.
Our Christmas was very blessed and the girls and I are enjoying this week of unwinding before the New Year starts. Staying up late, sleeping late, crafts and catching up on things we normally have little time to do.
