Review of WindowPix Static Cling Stainless Glass Window Film #windowfilm
* I received this product from WindowPix for a discounted price in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own *
Since we moved in I've been wanting to add something to the side windows by my front door and thought this might be a good fit.
There wasn't enough product to do all three windows though. :-(
When I received this window cling in stainless glass design item for my review I only received a small portion so was not enough to cover my side light windows that I have by my front door. Also it was supposed to come with a squeegee in my order but it was missing. The product comes rolled up in a tube with instruction attached. Basically after unrolling it, you clean the window area where you want to apply it first. Then use a spray bottle of water to coat the window, peel backing off of product and smooth over the window area you want to cover, then trim off the excess. Smooth it down with a credit card or other flat strong item to push out the air pockets (since I didn't have the squeegee to do this) and then let it dry. It is literally the same material as a window cling. It is pretty when the sunlight shines through, although it did start to unroll on the window after a few hours. Overall it was easy application, but could have had a stronger hold to the window. Not sure if I would purchase it again for that price and not having it stay on the window. Plus once you cut the edges you can't replace it so you have to cut carefully and evenly. If they came with the option for custom cuts to fit specific windows that would be great!
