Celebrating Hayley's 15th Birthday

May is always a busy month around here for us and if you happen to see this smoker working in our yard it usually indicates a get together of some sort ;-). In this case Hayley requested pulled pork for her 15th birthday celebration with just a small party with a few friends she has met here. Keeping it small this year since next year will be the big 16!

The weather wasn't exactly cooperative for us, but Jerry and his brother Garry spray painted the hillside behind our pond with patriotic stars :-)

Flags were put out as well to honor those who lost their lives for us. Honored every day in our hearts not just on Memorial Day.

Overlook the weeds on the sidewalk that's on the to do list for the outside work! LOL, been so busy getting settled inside first ;-)

I washed a bunch of strawberries and cut them all up to serve for the party. So delicious and fresh!

Blueberries too as they are one of Hayley's favorites!

                                                 Decorations through out the house....

I bought bandanas to use as napkins and wrapped up my gold silverware in it and placed it in mason jars to use as cups for the kids to use for their dinner. :-)

Our pavilion was decorated for the first time for our first party in our new house! The table had more decorations as well that are not in this particular picture. :-)

Jerry strung up lights inside that looked really pretty at night time. :-)

Pinwheels because why not? They are so fun to have! :-)

My beautiful Hayley who has grown into such an amazing young lady whom I am so very proud of!

Decorations on our fireplace and mantle for her day. :-)

Jerry working hard to get all the pulled pork ready to go for some hungry kids! ;-)

I made hot dog fireworks, I saw the idea on Pinterest and they turned out really well. The kids were tickled with them.

I made fruit dip to go with the strawberries that was so good. My friend Teresa gave me the recipe years ago and I love making it for parties, etc. Just one 8 oz cream cheese with a container of marshmallow fluff and enjoy!! I use a hand blender to mix it all together really well and be sure to keep it refrigerated until ready to serve.

Hayley has really met a great group of kids. Very respectful and appreciative and well mannered!

Apparently they invaded Kathleen's room and stuffed animals.... lol teenagers!

I got this idea from a wonderful friend and blogger named Beth, that I met at the blogging conference last year in Ohio. She has the most creative food ideas. Please check her blog out HungryHappenings
you won't be disappointed! :-)

The kids really loved these too and I was happy I could put a smile on their faces for the day. :-)

Had to have cake as a back up lol!

Happy birthday my amazing Hayley and many, many more!!!

Of course her birthday celebration wouldn't be complete without her uncle Garry bringing her crabs each year fresh from Maryland and this year was no different. All the way to NC!!! Look at that smile... she definitely appreciated it!

Thank you uncle Garry and Lori for making her birthday extra special!!!!

Kathleen borrowed my dad's Marine hat.... future Marine in the making??? ;-)

And by the end of the evening Jerry was tired out, lol! So he just chilled and enjoyed the night.

                                                                                Blessings,
                                                                                      Jill

Happy 15th Birthday Hayley!!!!! I'm glad that she has made friends already.
You have so much to do now and seem to be handing it well. I would be having a meltdown. Maybe its I just don't do well with change.
