Spending time with more house guests :-)

Summer is perfect for entertaining and we have already been busy doing so since moving in. Everyone coming to visit us in our new home. My friend Dawn and I have known each other for over 20 years and she came to visit with her husband Sam, their son Josh and his friend Cody and Dawn brought her 2 nieces Destiny and Albany who get along great with my girls and have been since they were little. When they arrived I had to tease Dawn a little about tying the plastic totes to the roof of their car, lol. Yup we've been friends for over 20 years I can do that ;-)

Kathleen was sure she took Destiny (tie dyed shirt) and Albany out to try metal detecting.

We bought ribs and later pork loins to cook in the smoker. Jerry showed Josh and his friend Dakota his recipe for delicious ribs!

Dakota (Cody) on the left of the two boys is Josh's best friend. We think he looks like Leonard from The Big Bang Theory. :-) We met him for the first time this past week and he fit right in and was calling us Aunt Jill and Uncle Jerry just like Josh always has. When you're friends with someone for so long they just become an extension of your family. :-) We love opening up our home and having our guests feel welcome and like family.

They had fun playing corn hole (bean bag toss to me, lol)

We had beautiful weather all week perfect for just hanging out having fun  and relaxing!

There was time for fishing too! Albany's first time :-)

Dawn's husband Sam with Josh :-)

On Father's Day Carowinds was having a special to bring family and friends for only $19.99 a person with a season pass cardholder which we all are, so we headed there for the day. :-) Right on the line where North and South Carolina meet!

We enjoyed Rita's and Sweet Frog treats in the afternoon :-)

Everyone had a really nice time between getting on the rides and seeing some shows!

The Cirque show was absolutely amazing! If you are in the area it's a must see!! Very talented individuals and very entertaining! These were just a few of the cast members and the younger girls were so happy and excited they were able to get their picture taken with them!!

Kathleen rode Fury 325, her first big coaster for the first time and loved it!!

We all had a really nice time and the weather was really nice, not too hot or humid.

We were sad to see them go as a couple days went by way to fast. It was great catching up and seeing everyone. Until next time....

We had lots of visitors too when we first moved to the homestead. I'm not sure it has slowed down much lol. So fun though!
