My Sister Kim and her Family were Next to Visit!

Summer has been keeping us very busy and our home is filled with love and many visitors :-)
My sister Kim and her husband Brent and daughter Neve came down late on Thursday evening and left early Monday morning.

The girls were so excited and happy to get to spend time with their cousin Neve! Neve has decided to do a YouTube channel also and here is one of her videos :-) From the video you can click on her link to see more and like and subscribe. Hi Neve!! I know you are reading right now, miss you!

How quickly they grow up.....

They enjoyed spending some quality time outside, reading and relaxing in the hammocks, metal detecting, playing with the dogs and more!

On Saturday, Jerry and Brent took the girls out for the day to an auction, some yard sales and out to eat, etc. My sister and I for the first time in many years were able to go out by ourselves and enjoy the beautiful day. I can't even remember the last time I had a girl's day without the kids! It was such a great day. We started by visiting the Childress Vineyards and winery. What a beautiful place! We took a tour and enjoyed a lovely lunch, had a glass of wine and just got to catch up on all that has been happening in our lives. From there we went shopping, then followed up with a nice dinner out and headed back to the house.

I miss spending time with her.... our lives get so busy. But it truly is important to take the time to slow down and connect with our friends and family. We need to make a point to do this more often. :-)

One of my favorite white wines from there is the Muscadine and we bought a couple bottles, one so she could take home with her. The next afternoon we sat on the porch watching the hummingbirds and enjoyed a glass while catching up some more. Not a jam packed couple days, just taking time to reconnect. :-)

On Monday they left early to head home and that afternoon Jerry picked Breanne up at the airport and she is spending 2 weeks with us :-) She is Hayley's best friend so there will be more posts to come. :-)

Love the photo of the girls. Looks like Neve is sandwiched right in between Hayley and Kathleen age-wise. How fun!

Your day with your sister sounds awesome, especially time at the vineyard. I am a huge wine lover! And you probably didn't know this, but southwest Idaho has many vineyards. Several of them rent out space for weddings. All of them have tasting rooms. Some have Sunday concerts during the summer. Just this past weekend, I bought a Groupon for a wine-tasting for 2 plus 2 bottles of wine at one of the vineyards.

I'm a dry red gal.
